The Centro at 50: History of the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies, 1965−2015

As both author and editor, Boatwright, chair of the Department of Classical Studies and a professor of ancient history, recounts the development of the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies. The Centro was founded as an experiment to provide North American classical studies majors a semester in Rome and grew into a premier North American center for the study of the classical world in Italy.
