"My Classical Studies education has improved my knowledge of the historical context and understanding of the foundations of Western Civilization. It has proven very useful to my law school education and professional legal career, having helped to hone my persuasive writing skills, my oral rhetoric and public speaking skills, and my critical thinking and discrete logic skills."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Classical Studies programs? 

"My experience with Duke's Classical Studies program has proved very beneficial to my post-graduate experience, in a variety of contexts and situations. The education is important and can be applied to various fields and interest outside of the immediate realm of Classical Studies."
